The Arrival of Drew and John, and Someone Brings Down the House
Sunday, November 10, 2002

Bassplayer Drew Frink and saxman John Flanders arrived at Schipol airport early Sunday morning, weary but ready to rock.

Big Eyed Beans From Venus' final acoustic show of our Fall 2003 tour was scheduled for today at Cafe Het Kuipke in Zolder, Belgium. Unfortunately the roof caved in at Het Kuipke and our appearance had to be rescheduled for Spring 2003.

The unexpected day off allowed us to enjoy an inspirational show by Czech band ~123 minutes on Sunday afternoon, their final show of their brief Dutch tour. After the show, the Beans, agent Arja Stam, Adrie Koudijs and the band and crew for ~123 minutes shared a beautiful meal at a nearby cafe. This dinner was a unique experience that I'll remember forever. Two bands from two very different countries eating, talking, sharing ideas and bitching about George W. Bush. Yeah.
