Sunday Afternoon Rehearsal & Late Evening Jam
Ravenswaaij, The Netherlands
November 17, 2002

A Sunday afternoon rehearsal for Big Eyed Beans From Venus and Jared Gallardo & Band evolved into a late night jam. Singer Wieke Van Der Veen, accompanied by her friend Heidi, joined us for the afternoon rehearsal to prepare for the Showcase on 11/21 and CD Presentatie on 11/22.

I'm currently auditioning guitar players for the Spring 2003 European tour (email mike@bigugly.com if you're interested). A guitar player named Bauke from nearby Culemborg dropped in Sunday night so we could check each other out. This led into a late night / early monring jam with the whole band that produced some beautiful moments. Frank Curtis played bass, while Drew and John switched off on drums, with Drew later moving to Mandolin. Bauke and Jared on guitars led the group through several really sweet grooves. Luckily, much of this was caught on Mini-Disc. Check back soon for some streaming MP3 audio.
